why you didnt recomend windhawk? its totally open source and free and much better alternative

A script (or plugin) I would LOVE to see is a script that allows you to save multiple transforms for a given source (position, zoom, crop, etc) and then quickly select and apply those transforms to the source. I would love this for quickly changing my capture cards or game capture aspect ratio or cropping for specific games, and for moving positions of things without needing a billion redundant scenes with every possible combination of location for everything. It would save me SOO much time and frustration. (I'm not familiar with scripting or have any idea how I would start to go about making said script myself unfortunately.)

Epos bro I need your help. I need a microphone arm and all the arms come to be added to tables but my table is made of panels and it is very thick and none of the arms I have seen will work for me because they do not cover enough space. I want an arm that is mounted on the wall. I searched on the internet but I only found one and I didn't like it 😂 because I am looking for an Elgato style one, that is closed and the cable can be hidden. What do you recommend?

I know there was something off about hd tvs.. I swore up and down back In The days of playing Xbox 360.. I could notice input lag on hdtvs rather than crt tvs.. is there a way for crt tvs to come back full force in this day with the enhanced resolution and graphics

I ditched my last Razer camera purely due that lousy, heavy, intrusive, demanding Razer `Synapse` software and hated it so much, have decided NEVER to use Razer ever again as much as I'm tempted to. That software is just garbage (in my experience, at least, with it)

It's just too late for a product like this. This would've sold like hotcakes 10 years ago. Now I can buy a splitter for $40 and it'll do exactly what the Neo can do. You're basically buying the Neo for the slightly easier setup and the name at this point.

Very cool progress update! If I were AMD I would be all over Twitch on this trying to help in any way possible. The possibility of streaming HEVC or AV1 to Twitch even at 1080p would almost entirely level the playing field for AMD as far as streaming goes. RTX and DLSS are still better for Nvidia, but I see so many gamers/streamers on Reddit ditch AMD bc they want to stream to Twitch and AMD is just so much worse at low bitrate H264 than Nvenc.

aahahahaha, shadowplay has been dead for a long time, try to change the microphone in shadowplay, then restart your PC and then go to shadowplay, and you will see that your settings have been reset, because nvidia are armless students who do not know how to write programs!

Given how much money it costs to rent AWS streaming bandwidth (yes even if you are subsidized by your parent company Amazon) it only makes sense to push for better and more efficient codecs to reduce costs. And those costs are what Twitch is struggling with the most for quite a while now.

Most growth I got in a decade of streaming was in 2020 thanks to lockdown and engaging with a discord server for a niche gaming community. Touching 30 viewers. Lost it when the server leaders mistreated me and I had a mental breakdown. I’m on 5-10 viewers with a hand full of regulars in chat. I’ve always done it as a hobby and still enjoy it enough to keep putting money into it. I don’t feel like I’ve wasted time or money.

This is all really awesome for the future of twitch streaming. what i'm really curious about is are they increasing the bitrate in general for people to use. most people are stuck at 6K with some using 8K. i feel like having a higher bitrate for all users is a big thing to focus on.

Hi, thanks for the information. Is the Beta free, and do you mean it is better than the Webcam utility? Also, my Canon 80D has a mini HDMI, and i have a Blackmagic Design that i capture from a Sony FX-7 to Wirecast and OBS. However the same does not seem to be possible with the 80D. Does it men that Canon cameras can only stream through their own utility or Beta software?

My viertual desktop with quest 3 is 45 ms. so adding 45 more or more would suck, unless th egame ois slow rpg or something. I need capture preview withj maybr 02 ms at most, 30 tops I guess.

I want to do this, so I can use my Quest 3 VIRTUAL DESKTOP to PLay my Nintendo switch or other systems with agiant quest 3 screen, I could do in bed or anyehere in the house as long as I am in bluetooth range! Esentially, connect to my virtual desktop with a big game preview window! This will rock! Could play switch on the toilet but with a 150 inch screen equiv!

It worked for a minute with my EOS 70D (they updated the supported camera list since this video came out).. but then stopped. I was able to make it work by what someone said in one of these videos... making the resolution at 640 @30fps. Now it's compatible with the (old) laptop webcam.... Maybe they have to match, or be close in OBS. He said 720 or lower should work.... I'm still using the Canon Webcam program, it turns out.... That's great.

September, 2024 should see the release of build 24h2 for windows 11 (sorry windows 10 users) which SHOULD provide a fix for the audiodg.exe issues were all experiencing. For those of you here that are only OBS users that stream/record, I have spent probably an equal amount of time troubleshooting and finding solutions as @EposVox has. Despite being a nobody I have developed a workaround to fix at least a few sources from getting any robotic/crackling noises. Get the audio monitor plugin from exeldro, add the audio monitor filter to a problematic source and set it to your headphones. Within windows , launch the program that your viewers (or yourself) deems as problematic and open the audio settings. Set the output device for that program to one of your monitors (just the standard high def output provided by your DP/HDMI cable). Back in OBS ,. In the docks menu , add the audio monitor dock and snap it to your work flow. Now you can listen to sources at different levels from your stream/recording. The best part? No audio issues, and if there is, you'll be able to hear it when chat also hears it. Downsides? OBS has to be open to hear everything unless you manually switch the program back and forth, and a very miniscule amount of delay. It's not a perfect solution but it has solved my issues with Spotify 100%

It's been great, I started using Shadowplay over OBS, But i end up Remuxing the files with OBS afterwards anyway to get 'em to work, Great video, thumba up as Always.

despite AV1 support being kinda early days, i'm still surprised 265 is happening at all considering how expensive it is to use for anything Commercial. also i'm not sure how Latency is supposed to improve, watching non-source as long as Low Latency is enabled already has the measured Latency being like, 1 Second. but i suppose i am in a developed region, and so i wouldn't be familiar if in less developed areas that Twitch is actually a lot 'slower' than that.

Sir, with open beta 19 there is a Quality button in export page, "Performance" "Balanced" "Quality" Added recently and I do have ancient hardware in my PC. Please kindly check that out, "Quality" renders slow.

installed and checked the box like you showed, OBS will now not run.. when it first fired up and i tried to do a test stream, it was showing like 27ms to encode. then it locked the entire pc up and will not run in enhanced mode.

Please review on Mac and Linux too.

Any chance you can see if there is another way to lower Latency for the keyframes other than Xaymar, he put it all behind a paywall??

So all of this can save Twitch a lot of money in the future?

Need help I’ve never fully stream on RUclips before! I’m testing the stream through multi plugin on OBS & notice that my stream preview quality only goes to 480p. Is that going to be the same as my quality when I go live ?
